A Twisted Girl’s Take on Love, Dating and Zodiac Signs

Food Choices on Your Valentine’s Day Date

A lot have been said about not ordering spaghetti during a date because it’s messy to eat. Care should be taken when ordering food during a formal date because your partner is watching your every move. I mean, where else will he or she look when you’re seated across each other?

Besides spaghetti, here’s a list of foodstuffs that you should ignore on a menu during your date.

1. French Onion Soup - Yummy to look at, yummy to eat, so why is it listed as top must-avoid food on a date? It’s the cheese! It sticks to the teeth and in your mouth in general. You can have the table napkin skill of a ninja or say ‘excuse me’ profusely while you try to dislodge the gummy thing, but he/she will still know you’re doing it.

2. Tacos - Even the most careful eater will have a few slivers of taco ingredient falling out. The struggle to eat this delicious item is worth it, but on a formal date, it becomes a chore. The best option to take when you’ve impulsively ordered this food item is to turn it into a salad.

3. Sushi - This is actually a sexy food, but ONLY if you know how to use chopsticks. if you’re a newbie chopsticks user, skip this for now because you will regret it (read: painfully stiff fingers). Learning how to eat this delectable feast is great particularly if your partner is willing to teach you, but you have to learn fast because there is no other way to eat it properly.

The most important tip I can give you when going out on a big-deal date like that on Valentine’s is: Do not starve yourself before your date. For sure you will enjoy a hearty meal with your special someone, but pigging out and wolfing down on everything because you’re so hungry should be done only during non-formal date moments.
