I know it sounds extreme, but the reason why I almost lost my will to blog yesterday is this…. My BoyToy photo collection, a.k.a DP-collection, a.k.a. B*-Gone-Wild Photo Collection, is GONE!!!

I just found out yesterday and thought how I wasn’t even able to put them up on this blog…. You would have loved ‘em; sizzling summer heat photos with a few things hanging out. Heh. Kidding (or am I?).

Call it laziness or irresponsibility, but I belong to the category of technologically dyslexic people who won’t know what to do when a memory card gets corrupted or improperly formatted or whatever. I, like the others, will simply shrug and say “oops, the photos are gone”.

But what if these are important, life changing photos that mean the whole world to you? I mean, real memories that you want to print out and preserve in an album or a scrapbook somewhere? Memories are wonderful things to have around, and while I can always arrange and process my photos as soon as I can, I admit to not doing so, and wait ’til the last minute to take care of them.

As my partner often tells me, digital products are different from hard copies because they have to be backed up. Ok, ok, I learned from my mistake and would he please do the formatting or whatever else that techies do, pretty please?!? He finally did, and recovered a part of the whole collection, but he talked the whole time about being responsible for my own digital backups etc..blah blah.

Ironically, during my most aggravated, weepy moment, an advertiser selling Photo Image Recovery Software approached me, inadvertently reminding me that I have to stop relying on men (particularly the scold-y types *roll eyes*) to take care of technical things for me. Talk about adding insult to injury eh?

This is my kiss and tell blog, and if i lost the only photo collection that holds the memories of my brazen single life, what will I kiss and tell about?!?
