I spent a significant chunk of my single life learning the French language, through which I discovered the French culture and the beautiful country, France. To say that I like both the language and the country would be an understatement, as I fell in love with both. When I have my sabbatical, this country is one of the first places I will visit, particularly Paris. C’est une ville formidable!

But for now, visiting this France blog will have to suffice. I learn a little more about the country every time I browse this website, including some France secrets. Viewing the photos and reading the articles, I marvel at the culture of the French and how differently they view things.

For example, I just learned from one of the articles that the French version of the expression “abs of steel” refers to a sweet concoction that we consume everyday: chocolate! The exact expression is “Les tablettes de chocolat” (chocolate bars).

There is also this article on the most exclusive hotel in the world. It’s a one-room suite with a bed and a minibar. In this photo, this hotel (Hotel Everland) is that green-colored structure located on top of the building. The cost for a one-night stay is 648 dollars. Expensive? Not really, particularly if you consider that you own this view for one whole night.

Worth it? Definitely.
