A Twisted Girl’s Take on Love, Dating and Zodiac Signs

Tarot, Occult and Palmistry: Why I Quit

I used to read tarot, was into palm reading, and was interested with anything relating to the Occult. I stopped when i got pregnant, kasi that was my kind of “bet” with God. I had a very slim chance of getting preggy, and it was virtualy a miracle that it happened. You have to understand, I’ve been an atheist for a long time, despite that I grew up in a catholic setting. I didnt really believe, until He smacked me in the face and told me that He’s there.

Anyway back to topic. Reading is an art partly because you have to be very creative with how you present your reading…. you cannot just say things that you want. Expert and articulate speech does wonders for would be readers. It is also partly vibrations. The things that you notice and feel from the person. Though telekinesis was never really proven, science tells us about chemical and physical signals that people emit when they’re happy, lonely, depressed or delirious.

Many people claim that the accuracy of a tarot reading is nothing but pure generalization. Not true. It does however have something to do with the way the person being read responds to the reading. As mentioned in the previous post, a lot of the reading depends on body language.. particularly if you don’t really like who you’re reading for.

I make it a point to read only for those that I like. That way, the tarot reading becomes an act of love and compassion, not obligation. I also hate it when people “pay” for the reading. If money is involved, it gets harder to get in the “vibrations” mood, particularly because the person being read may demand a lot from you (the reader).

Palm reading is a lot more personal than tarot, IMHO, because the other person lets you hold his or her hands. For people with acutely tuned senses, a simple touch opens up the emotions to the varied moods of the person being read. Palmistry needs more eye contact, personal questions and a lot of hand touching.

People who know me well might also have noticed my obsession with zodiac signs and astrology. Some people get disconcerted a bit when I ask candid questions upon first meeting. I do it out of curiosity, not malice. In my mind, I’m guessing his/her sign and i’m relating it with all the other people that i met before. It gets trickier online, particularly if the person I’m “reading” cannot express himself/herself well.

With all these peculiarities and weirdness, is it any wonder why some people are at least a bit afraid of me? … LOL.
